Permit slip

Hello. I am in a confused situation nw. I am a student in china and my passport is with the police for visa renewal. Now I have a family emergency in HK and I only have a slip with a picture on to tell me my passport is with the police. My office had initially told me that it was okay and now they are saying they told me nothing of the sort. I am a HK national and hold a valid I'D card. Will I be permitted to cross the border with that skip because I get my passport after three weeks and I need to leave asap please help .

Dear, if so, you can go to the police station to inquire about that and see if they can give you a certificate to travel back to HK for emergency.
