About:Chinese Embassy in Venezuela

Hi, I am a venezuelan passport holder

I am visiting hong kong from new York, my flight leave from New York to Beijing then to Hong Kong, I am not planning to stay in Beijing but do I need a Chinese visa for transit?

William, if your layover in Beijing is less than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there and then you don’t need to apply for a transit G visa for that.
