About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

US travel document transiting to china

If a person holding a US travel document instead of a normal US passport, can he/she transit to China and proceed to a third country without applying for a Chinese visa? And how long he/she can be allowed to transit to china if they decide to stay in th airport only? Tnks

Chito, yes, he can use the US travel document for that and enjoy free transit in China as long as he meets the relevant requirements for free transit policy. How long he can stay mainly depends on which city he will stop over.
