renewal of temporary residence permit

Question

Hi I have come to China with my toddler son with an invitation from my husband working here. We are Indians. All 3 of our residence permits are going to expire on 15 Feb 2017. My question is how many days before can we submit request for renewal of temporary residence permit ? Does it have to be 30 days in advance or is it 1 week in advance? We wish to visit India in January but we are not sure of latest date by when we have to return to China and submit passports for visa renewal. Please share your knowledge on this. Thanks

You should submit the request for renewal of residence permit 30 days prior to its expiry date. You’d better submit it 30 days in advance because the renewal process takes more time.
