About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Korea to Shanghai to HK to Canada

I am arriving in Shanghai through Korea,
However I am not leaving China immediately, I am travelling to HK first before returning to to Canada.
Does this still qualify for the 144 hr visa free transit?

Thank you
