We were thinking of visiting Hohhot and Xanadu and a natural park the first week of October.

1) is the scenery of the grasslands still beautiful as in Summer or the grass is yellow?
2) is the temperature very cold? What's the average during teh day?
3) What is a nice park to visit close to Hohhot or Xanadu or Beijing (we come from Beijing)?
