66hrs in Shanghai on a british Passport flying via Singapore

Hi, I am travelling on a British Passport London/Singapore (on the same day)/Shanghai(for only 66hours)/Singapore-London. Can I use the 72 hr transit visa as only in Shanghai for 66 hours which is the time between my flight arriving and leaving Shanghai?
thanks.

James, if you travel like that, I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai because you will fly back to Singapore after visiting Shanghai for 66 hours, but in principle, you should fly to a third country or region; if you fly back to London directly, you will qualify for the free transit there.
