Hi! I am traveling from Edmonton,Canada to Beijing. I am spending 66hrs in Beijing.

I am flying to Hong Kong from Beijing on a confirmed seat. I have bought my ticket already for the PEK-HKG flight. I will be spending 6 nights in Hong Kong. I am returning back to Edmonton from Hong Kong. Do I qualify for the 72 hour visa free? I would hate to get denied boarding by Air Canada because I do not have the proper documentation. I wonder if they speak English at the Beijing Immigration number listed above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
