lax - icn - pvg - nrt - lax

Question

In two weeks I'm flying to Seoul, I will be there for a few days, and then I'm flying to Tokyo, but have an 8 hour layover in Shanghai on my way to Tokyo.  I would LOVE to go to my favorite market in Shanghai during my 8 hour layover.  Would any of these Visas work for me?  Would I need to apply ahead of time, or just inform the airline when I check in?  Thanks so much :)

If so, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai, and then no need to apply for any entry permit. You don’t need to inform the airline when you check-in. You can just apply for it when you arrive at the airport. After arrival at Shanghai airport, you just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit and then you can leave the airport to the market.
