About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

May I transit in PEK as an airline employee traveling standby to make a connection to FRA?

I am an employee of Hawaiian Airlines and reside in Honolulu. I would like to take our flight from HNL to PEK and then fly on a standby basis from PEK to FRA on Lufthansa. My connecting time would be less than 10 hours. Am I eligible for a 72 hour visa?

Bo, according to the requirement, you need to provide confirmed air tickets if you want to use the free transit, but as you said, you will travel standby. I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit. You can confirm that with Beijing airport immigration inspection office by calling 0086-10-56095400.
