About:China Visa on Arrival

Guangzhou East Railway Station VOA

My friend told me she saw a counter for foreigners to obtain a visa at Guangzhou East Railway Station, just before entering customs. Do you know anything about this, or whether there are any restrictions or conditions for such an entry permit?

Wendell, for what I know, they usually don't give VOA. Maybe your friend refers to the counter for dealing with 72-hour free transit or something like this?

Hi Bruno, I believe the 72 hour free transit is for airports only. This is a counter in Guangzhou East Railway Station. I’m wondering if it’s similar to the 5-day VOA that can be applied for at the Shenzhen border, thanks.
