About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Will be travelling from Manila to Toronto with a layover in Beijing of 20 hrS

I have a Canadian PR status. Will be travelling back to Toronto from Manila with a layover in Beijing of 20 hrs, can I avail of the 24hr Direct transit upon arrival to go sight seeing within the city or should I apply for other VISA type? Thanks!

Richard, you can make use of the 24-hour direct transit. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport immigration counter.
