About:Jinan West Railway Station

In need of assistance

To whom it may concern

i will be attending the storm music festival in shanghai and booked my ticket for the festival and my train ticket to shanghai aswell but the problem is that i had to hand my passport in to renew my visa . they gave me a collection date for my passport on the 30th of september which doesnt work in my favour because i leave at 3am that morning is it possible to travel with that form that they have given me and not with my passport and would i be able to travel back to jinan on the 4th of october with that form even though it has passed the passport collection date?

I heard that that receipt can be used as passports during the renew process, however, this is not listed as normal travel document by railway authority. This is reaaly hard to say if this can surely work out. Maybe you need to arrive at the station early in advance to collect the ticket. If you can collect the paper ticket out successfully, it should be Ok for boarding with that receipt.
