About:China Visa

Cost of exit permit/exit visa.

My passport was stolen and I have gotten an emergency one. I need to go to fhe psb tomorrow to apply for an exit permit or exit visa.

I was wondering what the cost is for the exit permit? I cant find any information about it online and when I called to enquire, they seemed confused and kept passing me between people. As far as I know, the psb only accept cash so I need at least a ballpark figure to bring with me.

I also need to know how long it takes to be issued. My original visa would have expired in 4 days ao Im worried I will be fined for overstaying.

Nick, it may cost CNY 200, but the final payment is subject to the actual payment given by the consular officers.
It usually takes 5 working days. You can tell your situation to the consular officers and then they may give a proper exit permit to you according to your situation.

Yeah, just to add on, it cost 250rmb for me. But they do accept credit cards as well at the cashier desk so I was wrong about that.

I was told my visa will give me 10 days from the issue date to exit the country so even if it does take 5 days like they said, I wont get in trouble.
