within how many days can we get a visa for Hong Kong if we want to join a conference there?

If you submit the application to the embassy of PRC and it is dealt with there, 4 working days are needed. But if the application is transferred to HK immigration department or you post the application to HK immigration department directly, 4 to 6 weeks are needed.1
