British family travelling... Chinese visa panic

Hi. We are travelling around the world starting in Dec. We have a tour starting in China when we are 4 months into our trip. This means we are unable to get the visas in the U.K.
Before China we have johannesburg' all of India and Japan.
Where is the best place to get a multiple entry tourist entry permit for our trip?

Many thanks guys

Steve

Steve, as far as I know, it is not easy to get Chinese multiple-entry visa if you apply in a third country.
Actually, UK citizens can apply for 2-year multiple-entry visa for PRC now and it costs the same as single-entry one. So if possible, you are advised to apply for a 2-year multiple-entry one in your home country.
