72 hour visa using split tickets

Does the itinerary need to be all on one ticket as I am looking at splitting the journey on Beijing to get a cheaper fare. Also we would be transiting Beijing twice - once on way out and once on way back each time for just under 72 hours. Thanks Richard

No, it is no need to have it on one ticket to qualify the policy. As long as you book the through ticket (not separate journeys) and the departing place and final destination are different international areas, you case can apply to the policy for both trips.

If you wanna confirm that, it would be proper to specify your trips here.
