About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If travel to Beijing from the US and stay less than 72 hours in Beijing before returning to the US,

can i apply for the 72 hour visa?

Mark, you cannot apply for it because you will fly back to US after staying in Beijing. If you fly to HK after staying in Beijing and then fly back to US from HK, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing and then no entry permit is required.

Thanks. Yes we are continuing to Seoul after Beijing and won't go to any other Chinese city after that.

USA-Beijing-Seoul is fine for applying for the free transit in Beijing.
