Booking flight to Hong Kong

Hi! I`m planning to visit Guangzhou in the next two weeks, but my flight arrives in Hong Kong (it is a roundtrip flight) so I am planning to go to Mainland by boat. I want to know if that is enough to be granted a Tourist Visa (L) or I need to book a flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou.
I hope it is enough because the flight is too expensive!

Thanks

Chris, I think it's enough. Actually, the important thing is that you need to have an exit flight ticket. You can say in the application form that you will take a boat from HK to Guangzhou. If you will return from HK also, you need to submit the round-way tickets to HK.
