About:China Transit Visa

transit visa into hong kong with a peruvian passport

i am traveling to Maldives via Hong Kong with my wife and two kids. My wife holds a Peruvian passport and everyone else's from USA. My question is? can we all get a free transit for 24 hours so we can leave the airport and go site seeing?

There is no 24 hour direct transit in HK because mainland PRC and HK carry out different exit and entry policies. But there is no need to worry because Peruvian passport holders are allowed to enter HK freely for a stay of not exceeding 30 days. In this case, you don’t need to provide any entry permit and can leave the airport and go sightseeing.
