i am flying from chicago to shanghaithen to manila.

Question

Can I get a 72 hour transit visa and fly round trip from Shanghai to Guangzhou to visit a friend during the 72 hour transit period?  I am an American.

Dear, if you want to avail yourself of the free transit policy, you cannot go to Guangzhou for the round trip. You are only allowed to go to Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhejiang.
