You can take a taxi to Dongzhimen with a fare of about CNY20, and then take the bus 919 to Huairou North Street. Afterwards, hire a car or van at a cost of CNY50.

I don't think you are right.
I have checked in a chinese guide and the bus number is 916 instead 919 as you mentioned, they also suggest to take bus line numbers h23-h24-h35-or h36 from Huairou North street to Mutianyu roundabout .

Hi, Paolo! You are right! You can take a taxi to Dongzhimen for about CNY 20. Then, take bus line 916 Express to Huairou Beidajie Station. After that, take bus line h23, h24, h35, or h36 to Mutianyu Roundabout. Upon arrival, walk north to the entrance. ;)
