About:China Transit Visa

Hi, I'm flying to HKG via PEK from New York. I do have a 9 hours layover

and I would like to do a city tour. Do a Cuban citizen living in the US (that's me) needs a transit visa, or can I just apply for the 24 hours transit permit at the airport? Thank you!

Rodolfo, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the airport and then you can go to the city for a visit.
