china visa is still available in tehran?

Hello,Me and my wife tried to apply for a Chinese visa in Tehran yesterday but they answered us that if we don't live/work in Iran we can't obtain it from them.Is it temporary? Do you have any information about it? Thank you for answering,Best regards,Andrea

Andrea, yes, visa is still available in Tehran. If you hold Italy passport, when you apply for it in Tehran, your residence permit in Iran is needed. If you don’t have, you may not be able to apply from there. You can find an agency and see if you can get any help to solve this problem.

But since when is it like that? We have friends who did it early August and no residence was required... Even in other sites we read about many travelers who did their visas easily from Teheran... We are traveling through the Silk Road and as many travelers we are making our visas on our way...
