Can person with S2 or Q2 Visa work in China on a temp basis?

Dear Sir/Madan,

Hope all is well and wanted to elaborate the comment above "The S type has two categories S1 and S2. S1 is issued to "Immediate family members" for purposes of entry and long-term family visits to foreigners residing in China for work or study, and to those who intend to go to China for other private matters."

It seems that person with S2 type can work and study in China while visiting. If so, what about Q2 which is very similar to S2. Please advise.
