About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am a Nepali citizen and US permanent resident, will I get a visa at the airport?

I am traveling to Nepal and wish to have some Chinese experience.
I have a transit of over 9 hrs at Kunming on my way back to LA. Will I be able to enjoy China?
Will they grant me an entry permit to get out of the airport?
Please advise.

Surya, if the total transit time in China is not more than 24 hours, you can enjoy the 24h direct transit policy. You need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport in order to leave the airport.
