Arriving in Shanghai on cruise ship for 1 day. Is visa required? (UK)

After stopping in Shanghai, if you will go to a third country or region, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit. But if you enter and exit by the same ship, you may be required to provide a visa when boarding. You are advised to contact with the cruise ship company and confirm that.
