6 hour stay in shenzhen from hk via ferry

Question

We plan to visit a factory in Shenzhen for a few hours and then return to HK the same day.I am a US citizen with USA passport. My associate is from Mexico with a valid MEX passport.What do we need to enter China for the day?

Steve, I’m afraid you need to apply for an entry permit for the 6-hour stay in Shenzhen. And your associate can probably get a VOA in Shenzhen.Or you can go to Shenzhen from HK and then go to Macau, after, go back to HK from Macau. In this case, no entry permit will be needed for both of you because you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shenzhen.
