can a u.s. resident with philippine passport qualify for 72 hour free visa in beijing with third country destination (philippines) then back to U.S.?  peter

Peter, you are not eligible for the 72-hour visa-free transit in Beijing because you hold Philippines passport. You need to apply for a transit G visa or tourist L visa in advance.
