About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am a Filipino and have a 7-hour layover in Guangzhou.

Do I need a visa if I want to go see the Canton Tower?

I am aware that Filipinos do not qualify for the 72-hour free transit.

Where will you go after stopping in Guangzhou for 7 hours? If you will fly to a third country or region instead of the last one you came from, you can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit there. You can apply for a free temporary stay permit and then go to see the Canton Tower.

Hi Neil, thank you for answering my query. I'll just look for the direct transit assistance corner at the airport. My itinerary is Manila-Guangzhou-Los Angeles with a 7-hour layover in Guangzhou.
