About:China Visa

American citizen applying for Chinese 10 year multiple entry visa.

Upon obtaining it, how many months do I have between issuance, and first entrance into China?

Dan, you can use it to enter PRC since the date of issuance. You don’t need to wait for few months.

First week this November I apply for my entry permit. After I receive my entry permit I go to Singapore November 27. I board a cruise ship that won't enter China till March 3. Does my first entry have to be within 3 months of 10 year visa issuance, or 6 months?

Dan, I have never heard of that. Maybe you can contact with the embassy of PRC and confirm that.
