we (family , 2 adults + 1 child) are New Zealand Citizens. can we get 144 hrs visa ?

we arrive Pudong int airport and leave through Wusonkou Cruse terminal with 48 hours on a cruise ship for Japan. We then return to Wusongkou Cruise terminal after 7 days and leave through Pudong Intl Airport same day (with 8 hours). Can we avail of the 144 hours free transit on arrival or do we need pre arrival one (for 2 entries) for China.
