Vietnam - Guangzhou - New Zealand

I am travelling from Vietnam to NZ via Guangzhou - I have a NZ passport and my partner has a Vietnamese passport - the transit time in Guangzhou is 5 hours - are we both eligable for direct transit with no visa under 24hrs?

Yes, both of you are eligible for the 24-hour direct transit policy.
