About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Ferry from S.Korea to Qingdao, use 72 hour visa, train to Shanghai, use 144 hour?

Can we arrive in Qingdao and then take a train to Shanghai without an entry permit? We are from U.S.A.

If we buy a ticket from you for Hong Kong from you does that count as a ticket to another country?

Sheila, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Qingdao because it is ply applicable to those traveling by flight.
And if you will go to Shanghai from Qingdao, you are not eligible for the free transit in Shanghai.
HK is regarded as a third region when it comes to the free transit policy, but according to what you said, you cannot use the free transit in PRC.
You need to apply for a tourist L type in advance.
