About:China Visa Exemption

Train Entry

I have a flight out of Guangzhou to Canada, can I enter China visa free from Hong Kong by train? Or do I have to fly to Guangzhou from HK?

Megan, if you take a train from HK to Guangzhou and then leave within 24 hours for Canada, you may use the 24-hour direct transit policy by showing the onward ticket to Canada. If you want to spend more time there, you can take a plane from HK to GZ and then to Canada. In this case, you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy in GZ.
