About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Urgent question on 72hrs free transit

Hi I hope you can help me.
i have 2 business travelers on the following trip:
21 Aug Amsterdam- Seoul
24 Aug Seoul-Beijing
26 Aug Beijing- Amsterdam
They don't have visa for China. Is the 72hrs free transit applicable here?? As I am a little in doubt if back to Amsterdam is applicable as the 3rd country.

Thanks very much!!
Carola

Carola, if they hold Netherlands passport, they are eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing. Because they fly to Beijing from Seoul, when they leave Beijing for Amsterdam, Netherlands will be the third country. So it can work.

Thank you Kris. One is British and the other is Dutch. In the mean time I got confirmed by the immigration office at Beijing airport that this rule is applicable for them :-)
