About:China Visa Application in USA

Can I apply for Chinese visa at Chicago Embassy although I live in Tennessee?

I will visit my mother in Chicago, and will take her to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago to apply for her entry permit. I also need one for myself, but live in Tennessee. Would I be able to apply for my entry permit since I am there already, rather than making a trip to Washington, D.C.?

Rosanne, if you have residence permit or driver license in Chicago, it’s possible for you to apply from there. Otherwise, you need to apply for it from the consulate general of PRC in Washington D.C.
