Temporary entry in shanghai for Indian Citizen

Hi, I am travelling from Auckland to India via Shanghai. I have a layover of around 12 hours in Shanghai. Which Visa do i need to apply if I want to have a temporary visit of less then 12 hours (because of layover) to shanghai ,just for some shopping.

You don’t need to apply for any entry permit because you will be able to use the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You can apply for a free temporary stay permit at the airport and then you can leave there to the city for some shopping.
