About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

When do I submit the request?

I'm traveling from the US to Tokyo on Oct 2nd, Tokyo to Hong Kong on Oct 7th, Hong Kong to Shanghai on Oct 10th and back home to the US on Oct 14th. Do I qualify for the 144 hour Visa and should I let my airline know when I'm flying to Hong Kong or Shanghai? Thank you for your help.

Brittney, you qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai and you should inform the airline when you board the plane in HK.
