Round trip for re-entry

My husband and I are from the US and already have our multi-entry L visas. We have been to and left China once. Are we required to have round trip tickets upon re-entry of China or is this only an application requirement?

You don’t need to provide round trip tickets when you re-enter PRC. You can just provide your multiple-entry L type to go there.
