About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

China Visa approval for people who travelled to Turkey

Hello, today they rejected three people at the china embassy because they travelled to Turkey in the last 2 years, regardless of their nationality. What is the reason behind this? I need to go to shanghai to attend a very important conference, what should I do? This is very urgent..

Marie, maybe it is because they didn’t make full preparation. There is no need to worry! You can just apply for a business M type.
The first thing is to prepare those documents: your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-sized color photo, and an invitation letter from the conference. The next thing is to submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply for the M type.
Or if you hold UAE passport, you can try to Shanghai from Country A and staying there for less than 144 hours, and then go to country B from there, in this case, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai to attend the conference and no entry permit is needed.
