About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Can I extend an L Visa that was already issued for 3 months?

and can I do it in China or Hong Kong or only my home country?

You can possibly extend your L type within mainland China at the local exit and entry administration. You can't extend it in HK or your home country but only apply for a new one.

Also, if my current visa is valid for example until November 10 and I will receive an extension, will it be valid from November 11 or from the date they issue the extension?

Usually, it will be valid from the date they give you the extension. And you should extend it 7 days earlier before it expires.
