Transit visa or 72 hrs free transit?

I am a canadian passport holder transiting in beijing for less than 24hrs. Should I apply for the direct transit or the 72 hrs free transit. I will also be doing the same, in 3wks, passing by beijing for another less than 24hrs transit. Am I eligible for a transit n see beijing, both ways? Thx

Joanna, you can either apply for the 24 or 72 hour free transit since you qualify for both. And you are eligible to see Beijing on both ways.
