About:China Transit Visa

Do we need a visa for china/

Arriving in Shanghai with short stopover in Hong Kong. We are staying 48 hours in Shanghai before alighting a cruise to Japan

Stell, if you enter and leave Shanghai by the same ship, I’m afraid you cannot enjoy the free transit in Shanghai.
But if you enter Shanghai by flight and leave by ship, you are eligible for the free transit there.
