Age limit to ride bike on the Xian Old City Wall

My friends just return from visiting there and told me that there is a age limit for Cycling. They told me that they had to show ID to check their ages because they both are in early 60s so they were not allowed to cycling on the Wall.

Please let me know if this is correct.

Thank you.

Probably it is true. I remember it is regulated that the age for cycling should be between 16 and 60 years old. If you are not allowed to ride, rent a tandem with your travel companion if she/he suits for the rules.
