Question

my residence permit issued in shanghai is valid till next year. however my expert certificate which was the basis for the residence permit was cancelled a month ago. if i do not work anymore can i still stay in shanghai till my residence permit expires?

David, though your residence permit is still valid, because your FEC has been cancelled, so there is possibility that the exit and entry administration cancel your residence permit without notifying you. To play safe, you had better go to their office to change your visa or get a job as soon as possible and renew your residence permit.
