can i apply for a chinese visa in romania as an australian citizen on a tourist visa.

The documents for a Chinese tourist type (L) lists a Romanian Resident Permit as being required for citizens of other countries.I have been away from Australia for 6 months and been in Romania for the last month as a tourist.Can I apply to the PRC embassy in Bucharest for a Chinese tourist L type as a non Romanian resident?I have all the other required documentation.ThanksBrian

Brian, usually, if you don’t have residence permit there, I’m afraid it’s difficult to apply from there. But anyway, you can have a try. If it cannot be done, you should go back to your home country to apply for it.

I am getting a different answer from someone in Romania that has Embassy contacts.I would like to hear from someone that has first hand experience, do you have any experience with dealing with the Chinese Embassy in Romania Michele ?
