About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Myself and my partner have a 9hr 25min layover in Shanghai on the way to New Zealand

Would it be feasible to spend a few hours looking around downtown? If so how easy is it to get into town, and what is the process for leaving the airport for a few hours?

Will you land at Pudong Airport? If yes, you can have a short visit in downtown area.
Upon landing, you can take the Maglev Train to get to Longyang Road Station. It just takes around 8 mins. Then take a taxi to East Nanjing Road directly. And you can also tour around the Bund Area, People's Square. You can easily find many nice local snacks and interesting souvenirs. Have fun!
Notably, remember to go back to the airport at least 2 hours before the departure.
