About:China Transit Visa

filipino here travelling from bangkok to new york

my flight will stop shanghai for 19 hours, do i need to apply anything if ever i stay and look around the city? or i have to stay only in the airport?

Zaldy, you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You can apply for a temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the immigration office and then you can l4eave the airport and look around the city.
