About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Proof of Hotel

Hello,
When they ask for proof of hotel, does that mean proof of entire stay or just for the first day? I only booked one night (the day I arrive) because I don't know where else I will stay. Do they require proof for every single day?

Based on what I know, most of your hotel reservation is needed when you apply for it.
